Practice gratitude in advance
Details:
Most of us only say “thank you” after something good happens - but Dr. Joe Dispenza flip that on its head. The real magic happens when you feel grateful before it arrives.
Here’s why: when you thank the universe (or God, or life) as if your desire has already happened, your brain starts to believe it’s real. That emotional certainty changes how you show up, what you notice, and the actions you take - which is what actually pulls it into your reality.
It’s not about pretending or forcing fake happiness. It’s about building trust. You’re teaching your body and mind to expect good things.
How to Do It:
1. Pick one thing you want
Keep it simple - something you genuinely want and can connect to emotionally.
2. Say “thank you” as if it’s already here
“I’m so grateful for my new opportunity.”
“Thank you for the peace I feel in my home.”
👉 Use present tense, and if you can, speak it out loud.
3. Really feel it
Imagine the relief, joy, or pride you’d feel if it were already done.
👉 The more you feel it, the more your brain locks it in as “real.”
4. Make it a habit
Work it into your morning coffee ritual or evening wind-down. Even one sincere minute a day can create a shift.
Why It Works:
- Gratitude lights up the brain’s reward system and releases dopamine (your “feel-good” chemical)
- Feeling it in advance rewires your emotional expectations
- Pairing emotion with repetition creates a mental blueprint your actions naturally follow
